Why not just say NO FEDERAL branch (the FCC and congress and the federal courts included) has any authority to decide or rule on any aspect concerning the Internet?

BUT Marsha Blackburn did Vote FOR: Patriot Act Reauthorization, Electronic Surveillance, Funding the REAL ID Act (National ID), Foreign Intelligence Surveillance, Thought Crimes “Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act, Warrantless Searches, Employee Verification Program, Body Imaging Screening, Patriot Act extension; and only NOW she is worried about free speech, privacy, and government take over of the internet?

Marsha Blackburn is my Congressman.
See her “blatantly unconstitutional” votes atMickeyWhitehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08309059213121484319noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8071212044528874056.post-74591543088189103402011-10-28T03:40:27.090-04:002011-10-28T03:40:27.090-04:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.photoshop updateshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09063153949045046241noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8071212044528874056.post-59764303801641775762011-04-20T13:46:10.970-04:002011-04-20T13:46:10.970-04:00This is a great article and review of the hearing....This is a great article and review of the hearing. As a legislative attorney myself, I totally get the need for balancing government and industry. The "rogue website" rubric from Kent Walker was a great idea, and totally makes sense. As necessary and innovative an asset technology is, it also has downfalls affecting other areas. Ms. Jones hit it right on the head with going further to get cooperation from others, especially the content industry, to address this issue. I do, however think limiting legislation to specific technology could prove for more work in the future as we get new devices and capabilities so frequently.

Thanks for sharing! Can't wait to hear how this evolves.

Victoria Watkins, Esq.
B.A.F.F.L.E.D.
http://www.thebaffledblog.comV., J.D.https://www.blogger.com/profile/00327118176895459964noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8071212044528874056.post-84401726753886080122009-06-19T10:33:39.901-04:002009-06-19T10:33:39.901-04:00Thank you for some great insight! It does appear that courts have struggled in finding strong copyright protection for a fictional character who is not otherwise graphically illustrated. I am guessing that no matter how the court rules, someone will ask the Court of Appeals to weigh in on this and a number of other issues this case raises.Dave Reinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18277487209905422150noreply@blogger.com
